Baby Mt Meru Jackson's

[Action Jackson]

Well our pregnant Meru had her babies last night. She is housed outside and had six babies but one didn't make it. Man they are tiny!

Here's mom a couple days ago. I knew the time was near because I saw her crawling on the screen and looking ripe.

and the babies.

I'm planing at this moment anyways to keep them outside. I may change my mind though, have to see how they do.

Grats Craig. My female is looking ready to pop soon too. Maybe we can swap out a female baby for our bloodlines.


All I'm gonna say is...hatchling silkworms.... the babies love them and you can monitor how many each are eating. I was also using fruitflies and pinheads. Had everything going great until I blew it with my last litter.

Thanks everyone! I feel lucky to have made it this far but we still have aways to go. This sub species of Jackson's are probably the hardest to keep. I'm going to go out on a limb and try keeping them outside since the mom has been outside and the weather is good now. We have our fingers crossed.
