Baby Panther bobs his head...

I have a sambava panther male baby who is about 3 mos old. Sometimes when I put a cricket in his cage he jerks his head down a couple of times. Like they do when they want to mate. Anyone else ever see this in a young panther?

Could be a defense mechanism or away of showing dominance. I know they flair and puff up when angry/stressed idk you might have a unique Cham lol
