The vet clinic here that "treats" chameleons is a joke.

I had 2 chameleon's I just got the two of them at the expo we had here about a month ago. they are about 2 months old. I had a female veiled for about a year and a half but didn't know about being egg bound and she died shortly after becoming of age.

Last week my female just acted cold. I turned up the heat in my house, but te cage said that it was in the 70's and everything else was good. She was drinking and eating. still active but not as much as before. Then 2 days later she was laying on the bottom of the cage not moving much and looking dehydrated. So I gave her some water with a dripper and rushed her to the vet. Who did nothing just said that once they start to go they go fast and you don't have much warning. she died on the way home.

Today my boy is in his cage, upside down right under the heat lamp. I have never seen him do this before. The temp gage is in bottom and it says it is 75 degrees F. it is kind of cloudy out today, the room he is lite with natural sun light (doens't hit the cage directly)...

I took him out to look at him. he ran from me (normal) but was dark green and hissing... not normal. When I got him out he was still active. gave him some drops from the dripper, which he took. He looks fine. He ate 3 crickets this morning. I put him back and he didn't go back to the top of the cage. And I put some more crickets in there, he ate 2 more. He normally eats about 7 pin heads a day, so he is about where he normally would be.

Does it sound like he is sick? Or am I just worried for nothing? Any suggestions?

how old is he?
