Baby Veiled Chameleon feeding

hi,

I’m totally new in regards owning a Chameleon, I recently purchased a baby veiled chameleon and also bought the starter kit cage, my question is in regards feeding, i got small crickets for feeding but when I see the crickets getting near the Cham I moves back and runs away from them, is this normal? I also tried small worms but I don’t see any missing I don’t think he is eating, can some one flagelo me out?

What size are the crickets? Will they fit comfortably into the chameleon's mouth?

they are small & medium crickets, i bought them at my local reptile store.

Are the crickets roaming or in a cup?
Your cham may want them in the cup if it is from a pet store. That would be the way its "used to it"

looking at your profile pic it looks like you need small crickets for sure. and just like stone marshall said it may be used to cup feeding. try to make sure the crickets you get are the width or smaller than the width of your chams eyes.

Thanks a lot ! i have been leting them loose on the cage, ill put them in a cup today and see if he starts eating them! thanks for your replies
