Baby Veiled Chameleon only eating crickets

How do I encourage my baby Cam about 6 weeks old to eat something other than crickets? I’m hoping as he gets older he will want other things, but I’ve offered wax worms, super worms, roaches, but he won’t take any of them. Is this normal? Will they want to eat other things as they get bigger?

6 weeks is crazy young, did you hatch him?

Most that age will only eat crickets of fruit fly. They will diversify as they grow but for now don’t sweat it.

Some are picky eaters but with your Cham being on the younger side make sure you have size appropriate bugs. It could be they are too big for him. They need to eat a lot at this age so make sure you are gut loading the crickets really well and dusting with calcium no D daily. Wax worms and supers should be used as treats because they are higher in fat.

Thank you! They are all really tiny bugs I’m offering. So hopefully as he gets bigger he gets less picky. I’m guy loading the crickets with apples carrots and kale right now I’ll probably switch up veggies next week. He’s eating well and drinking and his urate and stool look normal.
