Baby veiled heating

I have had my baby veiled for about a month now, he is about 2 months old. I have him in a medium zoo med enclosure with a live pothos plant and vines. I have a uvb and "heat lamp" but I'm finding that the temperatures aren't very consistent and I think it is starting to stress him out. The temperatures in the day aren't as high as I'd like, between 73-80. And The nighttime temps drop to about 68. Should I get another heat lamp for him? He hasn't been moving around as much lately, until I coax him to move around with some crickets in my hand.

Welcome to the forums. Please post a photo of your enclosure. What kind of heat light are you using? What are you using to check the temps? I keep two month old veileds basking temps in the low 80's (around 82) and in the mid to low 70's near the bottom of the enclosure.

The heat lamp I'm using came in a 2 bulb pack with one uvb and one heat, pretty sure it was zoo med. it is in the smaller silver lamp with the uvb in the black and I'm using a zoo med hydrometer and thermometer.

It's nothing too fancy for now. As he really starts growing I will obviously upgrade everything dramatically
