Hello so I have had my baby Peepers for almost 3 weeks now. I have looked through the pictures of the Spurs on the back feet of male veiled's and compared them to the back feet of Peepers and I think he is a he but then I read that sometimes females have small bumps that can be mistaken for spurs so now I am questioning my assessment again. I want to make sure that Peepers is healthy and happy so if he is really a she I want to be prepared for the need of an egg bearing bin.
I also am wondering about the size of Peepers crown. When I rescued Peepers I was told he was 4 weeks old, that would mean that today when I took these pictures he is almost 2 months old, however when I view pictures of other veileds they seem to be much larger in both the size of their bodies and size of the crown. This is another reason I am questioning if Peepers is really a he.
I have added a bunch of pictures but if they are not clear enough or not the right angles please let me know and I will take more. Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks - Katacara & Peepers
