Babysitting, dubia roaches, and a cat...

So one of my new year resolutions was to get my dubia colonies well started, so I can give some to my reptile friends that live nearby. I have 3 males and 10 females.

Well my friend came over while I was babysitting my little brother and everything was great. But suddenly... a brown blob of bug came out from under the door... we walk in and ALL of my dubia roaches are crawling around the room 😭 Turns out, my cat, Teddy discovered the roaches bin and opened it. Thank goodness they hadn't had tiny roaches yet, or else I would have moved out immediately. My friend just looks at me, blinked, and walked downstairs with my brother and left me to clean them up, she is terrified of all bugs, so she didn't come back until I showed her the receipt of how many roaches I ordered, and took a picture of all the bugs I found 😅

Once the cat saw how mad I was, he ran outside the doggy door and stayed out for hours 🤣
The roach bin is now in a box, in a box.. the cat better not be able to get in now. Anyways, here's the evil cat...

That is too funny! Of course I can laugh…I’m not the one that had to track down all of the escapees. 😂 Beautiful kitty btw. 🤗 She looks sooo soft. My cat was fascinated when I got my very first roaches. Every now and then, she would watch as I cared for my colony…kept now in a big bin with a tight lid.
