Banana roach condensation!

My banana roaches arrived at last today. Unfortunately, i cannot supply a heat source. Room temperature around mid 20s everyday. Ive had to tape up around 20% of the ventilation slots are they were escaping! Ive just misted for the second time today and see water droplets as in condensation forming. Is this ok? I think ive left in too much food. Lettuce cucumber strawberry potato and apples.

Mid 20s? Assuming you mean celcius lol...

Condensation is good for a banana bin. You should have a gasket with one or two small holes screened over. They like warmth and humidity along with soil to burrow in.

Its currently 25°C or 77°F
I'm a newcomer to reptiles and amphibians too. I started off last December with an 105L aquarium!

Bought a praying mantis but it wasnt the giant green one i ordered. It was boring, sitting idle for a day or two. The shop took him back.

Then i thought about a chameleon. Hammy is here around three months. I then got Pepé, a red eyed tree ?. I'm awaiting another two for company. I'm so glad I've got this new pastime as I'm housebound due to mobility issues.

Well welcome to the hobby (y) I've had weird critters for most of my life, it's a lot of fun.

I'd bump your temp up to mid 80s for the bananas, they won't die at 77, but theyll grow faster at warmer temps.

I'm flat out, as in utilising all my electrical sockets can't use another one, unfortunately. The halogen lamp is on 14hrs a day over my hopper tank. I've the banana roaches under them. They burrow anyway, so they're obviously happy in darker setups!

I have a colony that I keep around 77 (room temp), and they haven't done great. Truthfully, I've kinda neglected them (don't tell James). I can't offer advice on their care, since mine aren't flourishing... but I CAN offer advice on your escapees! As James said, a gasket sealed bin works well... but I also add silicone around the top half of the enclosure and lid. They won't walk across it. I was using Cap Cod Roaches' silicone "Climb Stopper." It works really well and so far has held up really well to misting and condensation.

Word of caution, even with the silicone and gasket bin... they do fly. So I don't completely open the lid... I crack it and I keep an eye on the little buggers. You can tell when one is about to make a leap for freedom.

Can you flip flop them so that the bananas are on top? I do this with my hoppers and some of my other bug bins and the heat radiates up and actually does help keep the other bins warmer.

You're neglecting... my babies?!

Using a power strip has helped me a lot with also organizing cords, and makes things so much simpler.

I'm limited to space and have all the tanks i could ever need ? i have my halogen bulb over my hopper tank 14hrs a day. They are totally lethargic without the lamp on! I've the roaches under their tank.

Currently as feeder foods, I've got
SNAILS HOPPERS WAX AND SILKWORMS BANANA ROACHES awaiting on RED RUNNERS ROACHES.

I'd to get rid of my crickets as they were driving me insane with chirping all night. Two had unfortunately escaped and i was ready to run away until the died off! Arghh. Pity, as my chameleon HAMMY, really enjoyed them.
