Basking spot questions

Hey guys is a temp of 95 degrees in his basking spot to hot? What do you guys keep your temps at in the basking spot?

it should stay around 80 to 85. thats what most people keep theres at.

What type of chameleon is it? How old is it? Male or female?

A youngster would want a basking spot of no more than 80F, babies need no basking spot at all.
And adult male veiled wouldnt mind a basking spot of up to 95F, ambient in the mid 70s
And adult female that you dont want to lay eggs should get less heat
And Adult male Panther would be fine with a basking spot of up to 90F, mine are at 85-90F depending.
Montaines are somewhat different again

Yeah, that is about the upper limit of a good basking spot temperature for a veiled, although, they can and will bask at higher!

I keep my 2 year old male veiled at 87 to 89 for basking.
