Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I'll be getting my veiled next weekend. Currently I'm getting it's enclosure ready and all the supplies I need. Can you please tell me at what age and sex requires what basking temps? I'm starting off with a 6 week old. I haven't decided male or female.

Hello and welcome to the forum. A 6 week old is very very young. There are many things you are goiing to want to research and get together, so good on you for starting early.
Basking temps for a cham that young are goin to be very low, for a male veiled of that age I would suggest arounf 80 in the hot spot with the lower portion on the cages in the mid to low 70's.
I will go find and attach a good basic care sheet to get oyu started.
For a first cham males are often reccomended to avoid the issue of eggs that females bring to the table

Why female should have a lower basking spot ? It isn' t logical, it should even be inversed because they have an higher corporal temp when they are gravid.
The average corporal temperature prefered for gravid F.pardalis is about 30°C. I don't know for veiled but it must be higher so if you have only a basking spot at about 29°C...

For the two sex you can have a basking spot at about 35-45° C but located and with a nice thermal gradient.

The lower basking temperature is, from my understanding, part of a strategy utilized to minimize infertile clutches. Also, I should note that these temps are not something I personally came up with. They are from the care section on this site, which I referenced at https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/.
