Overdue for a warm bath

It has been 2wks since the rest of his body shed. His tail seems to be the problem area of shedding because this is the 2nd time he has shed where his tail doesn't finish.

Nothing has drastically changed in his enclosure. The only difference is the changing of seasons. His first shed with the tail not finishing was in the fall and "winter" weather. To be honest we didn't really have much of a winter weather. His tail did finish about a week after, but I did a lot more misting (even sprayed his tail at night when he slept) and gave him a couple bathes in warm water.

This recent shed with the tail not finishing we've been having a, what I want to call, Bipolar kind of weather. Cold/wet days and then sunny/warm days. I wish mother nature would make up her mind. I was hoping it was just one of those difficult sheds and he would have "normal" sheds after, but nope. Here we are again. :(

He doesn't act or eat any different either although even before the shed he seems to eat less crix and more supers.

Our female is finishing her shed, and she's never had any problems shedding since we had her as a baby! Why must the males be so difficult. ;)

As male veileds get older they shed in sections. My adult males have always had some shed going on somewhere. :)

thanks jann! I was getting worried, and I have been keeping a close eye on his tail for any discoloration.

I just feel like 2wks is really long... I hope he finishes it soon :/
