just wondering if anyone out there has ever feed blue bottle LARVA . the reason I ask is because Rainbow meal worms lists them as okay to eat , and iv been giving them to my chames for some time now

I never fed them as larva I fed them off as flies.I think @Beman does or did feed these

My guys have eaten the larva but not intentionally. I throw them under a leaf to pupate, sometimes the veileds find them. I believe the larva has very high levels of.... something. Cant recall. Nitrates? Idk something undesirable so my understanding is they should be fed as flies.

I know they produce ammonia when they eat but don't bsfl do that same ?Maggots produce ammonia
