is there A site i can go to, im lookin into becomin a breeder and want to know what all i need to do to get things started other than breeding them. do i need to get a certain license or how all does this work?
im interested in this but i would like to know the steps

I asked about a license, but never got a real definative answer. Also, most of what you need to know about breeding is in threads in this forum. Check the breeding forum and do a search.

There aren't much qualifications to become a "breeder". If you want to run a side business selling yours or someone else's babies you'll need a local biz permit and to pay taxes. If you want to be a breeder for the sake of calling yourself a breeder you don't need much, just breed your animals and produce babies. You can also go the route of setting up a website and just re-sell CB, CBB and WC animals although IMO that is just being a middle man and not a breeder, contrary to popular belief. Bottom line is the process, even to set up a fictitious business name, pay taxes ect isn't too hard to do. Go down to City hall, register a fictitious name, take out a notice in a local newspaper and whoala, you are now a business specialized in the care, reproduction and information of Chameleons. Don't expect Warren Buffet to call though.

what about papers tho i was looking into breeding snakes and possibly chameleons. some snakes have papers do chameleons how dop those work

Snakes i know nothing about. Chameleons there is a site that has been started, although i haven't figured it out yet, on tracking bloodlines. Someone else can propably give you the name. But there are no papers with chams, you just have to pick a reputable breeder. You do know that chams can take up to 9 mos plus just for their eggs to hatch right? Not going to make a million. Most people that do it do it for the love of the animal, not the profit.

good luck
