Beetles!!!

so excited!! I have had my beetles a bit over a month. I cleaned their container and found NYMPHS!!

There they were scurrying and I had none when I decided to start a colony :D

This will certainly help if winter ever comes to NY. Shipping feeders to me is very difficult when the cold actually comes!


I want to do the beetle dance :eek:

Sure! I might need a few more Nymphs since I really do not like beetles, but super excited about not buying and paying shipping costs :)

always nice. im doing that with crickets.
and im about to attempt to do that with hornworms.
 
let me know how it goes with horn worms my beardies love them and so does lily! They are expensive and your whole order grows so fast

i ordered 2 cups of 25 each. and they are monsters!
im hoping that i can get them to breed ive got two in a pupae stage (cocoon thing) that i bought tht way.. soo fingers crossed. first attempt

I have the same issue with the weather and shipping feeders. I have been picking up crickets from the Reptile Expos..

I was going to get some "Beetles" from this last show to beef up my colony, but they had some real Beetles mixed in with them. (Flour Weevils)..

These Flour Weevlis are the worstttt!! They will get into anything in your home (Flour, rice, pasta, cereal,) And it's hard to get rid of them and still keep these items in your home.

Just admit you are breeding cockroaches and relish your life experience taking you in a direction you would never have believed possible.

Exactly :D The sound of beetles is just as creepy btw . Id rather see some roaches than super worm beetles.

No no no- she is already breeding them and excited to see the nymphs. She obviously likes cockroaches.

At this point she is only afraid of admitting she likes cockroaches.

are wonderful!!
roaches are NOT:eek::eek: AGHHHHH runs out of thread quickly.....

My happy bubble believes this and will never ever admit I am breeding cockroaches.:D

Jon try putting your flour, pasta and other stuff in zip lock bags until the evil weevils die off. They also like the glue those items are sealed with.

Oh , i'm rid of them now. Only took 2 weeks and having to toss out ALLL of my grain based foods. The base of the cabinets had a ton of "little mealworms". Skeeveee!:eek:

But i got to eat Pizza and Chinese food for 2 weeks , yayy!!
