Ok but do I replace the whole fixture or just shut off one side ?
I just ordered a 12” reptisun t5-ho uvb tube light and the lamp hood from Big Al’s Pets since I couldn’t find one at big box store that size (I’ve got exactly what you’ve got now) to fit my 18”x18”x36” enclosure and now I’m going to have to get a single heat lamp fixture....so everything will fit neatly on top. B/c I’ve got a dripper too...anyway that’s what I’m doing (y)

Be ready for your pocket to get picked setting up things right, but this forum is great, and bar none, with care you can’t help but have a lot of affection for something you’ve put so much work and research into...its a lot of fun and a lot of new routines to get into doing.

Those compact fluorescents are absolute garbage! Wish they stopped selling that trash. T5 high output all the way. Every study I’ve read states they are better.

Have to agree with everyone else. Using the compacts when we know the linear is better for your reptiles is not worth it. Good bulbs are not cheap but worth it as it is so critical. I am using some reptisun and some Arcadia D3+ series. In the searching I've done, both seem to be really good lines of bulbs.
