Bioactive Enclosure- Final Suggestions?

CJ's Exotics

Chameleon Enthusiast
Hello everybody! It’s been a while! I finally am done with my bioactive enclosure for my new Cham, that’s coming soon! The enclosure is an 18x18x24 exoterra, with Arcadia 6% and Mini Halogen basking. I would like to know if there were any suggestions as to any modifications to make the enclosure better. Thank you, and have a wonderful day!

What species are you getting? The uvi level is going to be quite high as the Cham can get very close to the top. A 6% bulb in a t5ho single bulb fixture requires a 9 inch distance to basking for a 3 uvi level when you have a veiled or panther... but that’s a smaller enclosure to house either of those species.

Yeah I've thought about it. I made sure to get a T8 fixture, and I'll trim the branches a bit. Sorry I forgot to mention, I'm getting a Carpet.
Oh ok well that makes a difference lol. You need to double check with the breeder about the UVI level they should have. At two inches below the top with the fixture sitting on the screen a 6% T8 will give you a UVI 3. :)
I know nothing about Carpet Chams specific needs so I can't give any more then that lol.
The cage is awesome the little one will love it.

I was going to say that looks a bit small, but you’re getting a carpet cham. So, it looks perfect and will make a nice home. The only thing...you need to take lots of pics and share them often. :) I love how they look...so stunning!

Thank you! Yeah I'll make sure the UVI levels are good and there is a good enough distance.
