Yes! The fact that it traps heat, has poor ventilation, and has a fountain all seems to be a disaster waiting to happen IMO. Bacteria and RI breeding grounds. I'm curious myself as to how these really work and if anyone here has ever used them.

Yes, I have seen these before. One of my friends, who is also a fellow chameleon enthusiast, bought one to setup and try. But, after setting it up and letting it run it daily cycle for a week...he never used it again. There is not enough ventilation and air movement to feasibly place a chameleon in one of these enclosures. So, it basically becomes a chameleon sweat lodge because all the retained moisture and heat that cannot escape the pod. In my opinion, it was a terrible design to try to push on people who own chameleons.

I will say though, a hanging rounded enclosure made of screen would be interesting to see! Only problem is making the top big and round enough for you lighting and etc. to fit.

I have seen a couple of people use these and also seen the same couple chameleons dead after a few months. Also the heat lamp actually melts the whole top of them

I was thinking the same thing about the fake chameleons! lol and the bark is a dumb idea. Sopping wet bark with a fountain? Geniuses! :,)

Wtf... I have one and all of what you guys are saying is not true.. it's great for them sure it could be a lot bigger and have more room but for its design it's a pretty interesting thing my cham has a good life he eats a lot and I just appreciate theverything product...

Can we see a picture of your setup please?

Just curious, what type of chameleon and how long have you had it? I can't see how these would work out long term. There doesn't look like there would be any way to get a chimney effect for proper air flow. I remember reading a thread here, where this cage was a major factor in a new keeper's chameleon dying. Personally, I wouldn't use one.

I don't mean to burst your BioBubble....but they are terrible enclosures. Plus, stating that what we are saying about them isn't true, is basically calling us liars. Like I stated in my previous post, my friend bought one with the hopes that it would be a sound enclosure, but it is not....based on many factors that a chameleon needs. There is a major difference between a chameleon surviving and a chameleon thriving!

I will suggest to convert that to a BUBBLE fish tank enclosure fo sure!!!Unless who ever using it try to be a WARDEN ,putting their precious chams on a "Bubble" jail cell for 24hours lock down:)
