Bird stand for chameleon?

We have quite a few pets and one of them is a Quaker parrot. We built this bird stand for him to come out of his cage and play but I think we will actually be getting rid of the bird because they require so much attention and recently we haven't been able to give him that. Anyways I was thinking instead of selling this stand why not use it for my chams. I would probably take off the bird toys but leave the rope. The rope has a wire on the inside so it wont just fall and I also wanted to add some vines or hanging plants and make a little free range. Would this be a good idea or would a ficus tree be better? also what exactly would I have to do to clean this, would a water/vinegar solution be alright? should i use a water/bleach solution? also if you have any ideas to add on to this please let me know! thanks.

sorry forgot to attach the pic

I think it would work very good as a free range if you did something like hang a pothos plant on the top and let it grow down around the stand. Some extra sticks/vines are good idea, more things to explore.

How about cleaning? How would you go about it? There is wood and the rope so i dont want to damage that.
