Biting

I have a veiled chameleon which is approx 4 months old. I have had her 2 months today. The last couple of days she has been irritable. Everyday we have our same routine and for some reason she has lunged at my hand hissing attempting to bite me. Is this normal for them as they get older? I love my Penelope, but don't know what to do. Please help...

Just try to ignore her when you do your routine, she needs to get used to you being in her space and she needs to learn that you are not a predator.
Show no interest in her to appear less of a threat, it helps.

@PennysMomma517 Are you trying to take her out of the cage or is she aggressing when you put your hand in the cage to service it or feed her?

I have had the experience that they are mostly bark, and not bite. That's not to say they don't get irritated enough to bite.
