Black fly larvae

Just got black solider fly larvae it said to feed em corn meal but will that harm my chameleon??

Not sure about corn meal but I've kept them without food until they turn to flies but it's better to gut load them of course so I've also used bananas which they loved. They just dont smell the best.

I don’t know about corn meal. I usually just give them a piece of veggie about once a week.

They're great composters and will eat near about anything. The reason we feed BSFL is for variety and their high calcium rate. I don't gutload mine at all, they tend to get stinky if you do that. I feed them off, let them turn to flies then feed off for enrichment, and always add a few extra to my compost bin to help with composting.

I don’t feed mine because they will create a strong ammonia smell. I just feed them off or wait for the to turn into flies to feed off.
