Black on Mouth

I was wondering if this is a bruise or not? He seems to act normal. Only had him for 3 weeks, going onto four. No idea what his age is, I'm assuming around 4 months? I did give him a small hornworm and he seemed to have a struggle diguesting it, cause he just sat there and didn't finish eating the rest and just sat still. But I don't know if him struggling to get the hornworm down could've hurt his jaw in some way? Like I said everything else is fine. Eats normal, acts normal.

Did it appear all at once or did the spot start off and grow over a period of time?
It just kind of appeared all at once. I went out on a overnight vacation, leaving him alone with my aunt for one day. Then come back and this appeared. I also believe she tried feeding him a hornworm along with some Dubia roaches. But I came back to see the "biggest" one of the worms gone. I got him very small ones but one of them was bigger in the container. So I'm not sure if she gave him one and struggled to eat it and possibly hurt himself somehow that way?

Poor little guy. Hornworms can be nasty little buggers and bite back in defense. So can superworms. The rule of thumb for all feeders is never to give anything larger than the space between the eyes. With worms (horn, super, silk, etc) we go by their diameter. However, especially with horns and supers I prefer to err on the side of caution and give much smaller than my chameleons can handle. Eating isn’t fun if you have to literally choke down your food.
