Hi, today I was letting my male Veiled free climb a taller bush outside today and I noticed this bump on his head after. I don't know if it's a bug bite, burn, cyst, or whatever else. I need to know soon so I can decide what to do. Please help. I'm freaking out. He vibrates when I touch it so I know he's in pain. I don't want to watch him live like this.

@melancholykiddo I don't see anything on his skin but I do see incredibly deeply sunken eyes. Having worked with a lot of chameleons in severe pain, his "vibrating" is not likely an indication that he is in pain. That has not been the kind of response I've seen to pain. Chameleons are not mammals and don't respond the same way.

You really need to look at his hydration levels because his eyes really shouldn't look like that. Granted, some chameleons will pull their eyes in when you take pictures of them, but you didn't mention it.

His urates are white and frequent, he always has water. I was using flash so maybe that was it.

I doubt a flash will do that.

Don't trust urates. They don't tell the whole story. Nor does seeing him drink. He could be dying of kidney failure with white urates and drinking water.
