blocked nose

My chameleon is only a few months old, and has developed a blocked nose, i think it was from the shedding. only one side is blocked. what should i do? he keeps opening his mouth to breath, but dosnt do this all the time. will it come out on the next time that he sheds??

he's finnished shedding and it's been a few days, and i noticed that he was opening his mouth a lot. and then on a closer inspection i noticed that one of his nostrals were covered over with a white skin and the other was open.

he usually opens his mouth when he's basking, i checked the temp of the area and it's around 30C (85-90F)

I use sandfire super foods chameleon dust for the crickets i feed him, about 8 a day in the morning and a few mealworms.
The crickets are fed T-Rex calcium plus Food for crickets.

it's only a tiny blockage, it's a little white thing, i just wanted to know if it would come out next time he sheds, as it looks like the skin from around his nostrals did not come off proporly. hopefully it's not to serious and might clear up, but i just wanted to be sure that it wasnt somethink serious.

From my experiences sometimes an excess of minerals will excrete themselves from the nose(from over supplementing), and occasionally some skin will stay left over from a shed. A picture would help to pinpoint the cause.
Usually I very gently unstop the nose with a tooth pick. This morning actually I had to unclog my F. Nosy's R nostril! Only here I could talk about picking my chameleons nose!

Right. so it would either be over supplementing, or also hard water if you are using tap water.

Usually open mouth basking is an indicator that your animal is too hot. Perhaps your "around" 30C is actually warmer than that.

It is probably your cham trying to dump excess minerals/ supplements.
basking mouth 30C is 86.
How old exactly is a few months?
It might be that your cham is too hot.
If you want to be sure, just purchase the tempgun.
and check his body temp.

They are held lol, and I stabilize their head a bit. At first I was scared I would poke it in to far and hurt them or something, but this is why blunt toothpicks are best for this. I've been able to successfully clean them out plenty of times and never have to go in the nare too far to get it off the surface.
Sometimes I notice it's consistency is more like mucous than dust though.
