They ok to feed to yemen's?? I've bought some online, they should be here by Thursday. I want to give my cham loads of different insects. She eats small grass hoppers and crickets but doesn't seem to like meal worms. I've ordered some flies for her too.

blood worms? Ive never seen them mentioned on here before. What do they look like? Can u order silkworms, superworms, butterworms or hornworms where you are from?

silkworms are a great highly nutritious feeder, butterworms make a good high calcium treat, superworms are like big meal worms that are real easy to gutload and ive read that hornworms are awesome feeders but i cant get any because the canadian suppliers are having issues importing them from the usa.

It's difficult to get silkworms in the UK and when you do they are very expensive...
You could try butterworms but they are also expensive.
I'm not sure why you would want to feed them blood worms?
I was under the impression that blood worms are pretty small and only come in the one size, so I'm not sure if your cham would go for it.

I recommend getting some dubia roaches or phoenix worms instead!

they're fish food...

The bloodworms I know are the larvae of an aquatic midge. They are used for fish food. I'd be really worried about harmful bacteria in these and would not use for a reptile food, even if the reptile were interested in them.

Thanks guys, i wont feed her the blood worms. :) I'll give them to my local pet shop who sell all different kinds of fish. Glad i asked before feeding them to Mia.
I would love to try her on phoenix worms but don't know anywhere that does them. Grrr, same with silkworms. I asked mandy (she's awesome) the lady who i got Mia from and buy a lot of food from if she could get some silkworms but she couldn't get any either. So if any1 knows any online U.K site that sells silkworms, butter worms or phoenix worms let me know.

That makes me wonder if they are high in protien since they are used as fish food.

Hi try this site. Here in the UK

http://www.butterworms.co.uk/

Which has now updated its site and now is called Lizard Lunch instead of Buttewoms. They sell SilkWorms and also NutriGrubs which are Phonenix Worms but under a different name hope that helps.

I doubt your chameleon will eat them.
You might feed them to your crickets or roaches.

Bloodworms are meant for aquatic animals like fish and fire bellied newts. They squirm around a lot so they would attract the cham's interest but i don't think they're worthwhile to experiment with. An adult veiled would need to eat mouthfuls of these guys to get the same thing out of 4-5 adult crickets.
