Blue bar - Black stripes

Hi

new to forum . probably going to ask a question that everyones heard before. so i apologise in advance. I have panther described to me by seller as Blue bar ambilobe - possibly cross nosy mitsio. 5-6 months old. Everything going well with rapid growth. I see lots of pictures of very colorful panthers at this age. mine is background green but his bars are black. Some yellow in belly and chin if he gets stressed. (which i try to avoid at all costs)

I also know this question is borne from impatience but i would really like some blue in the bars. is it just patience or might the blues never arrive?

At six months he would be in the early stages of change. You will have a much better idea of what he will look like at ten months and by eighteen months he will be done coloring up.

Also some wont change colors too much if theres no need to they change colors to communicate. For example if you showed your male to a female it would display different colors than if you show it to another male from what i understand

Hi. Thanks everyone please see pictures. I realise I'm probably impatient as I saiid. My question is will the black bars get colour. I see chameleons on this site that have well developed blue bars at this age. So just want to have an idea if he will get any blue and why he hasn't now

I think he looks pretty good! Now if he gets any blue Im not sure when. I do get confused, are the bars the vertical stripes or the one horizontal one?

Hold him in front of a mirror for about 30 second. Yes, it will stress him, but you should see some color. At least you'll get an idea of the colors coming in.

Yes the black bars will turn either blue or red some will even have blue bars with red outlining the bars

He looks very similar to my panther cross locale. His vertical bars stay pretty dark in his enclosure but when I get him out, they are usually a bright or dark red! IMO I think he looks good.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm beginning to think he may be a non cross nosy mitsio. What do you think anyone?

Definitely not nosy mitsio not enough yellow. In my opinion he looks like an ambilobe and abanja cross with quite possibly something else.
