Back in September I hatched my two baby panther chameleons, M&M and Boo. Boo has had a funky/enlarged(?) eye ever since I first saw the baby post-hatch, and I've kept an eye on it, but recently I noticed a concern...
In the last 2-3 weeks I noticed her funky eye seemed to be looking odd, and sometimes she had it closed. I've been worried that she might have something trapped in it and could have gotten it infected possibly, but so far no discharge that I can tell, and she's still eating thankfully. I may be wrong about the infection, but I do think something is up with the eye and I'm not sure if there's anything I can do for her yet... She's still pretty tiny, even at 3 months old (though maybe she's just a runt? Could it be that females grow slower too? I believe she's a girl but I'm not 100%)
Anyways, here's her post-hatch pics in case anyone hasn't seen them yet:

These are pics from December 11th, I had noticed the closing of this eye a couple days prior to these pics:
I began to think maybe something was really stuck in her eye turret so I started doing long misting sessions by hand in addition to the misting system I have, and I tried to get her a little more wet hoping it would encourage her to keep trying to clean the eye. It had a slightly "goopy" appearance to it before I started the extra hand misting, and it seems like it's not really "goopy" anymore, but still looks like there's something in there...
It honestly reminds me of a cataract, kinda looks like it's something covering/blocking the iris itself? She has been opening the eye more lately, but it's like a squint. Here are pics from tonight:
I also tried using a cotton swab I dipped in distilled water to dab at the eye thinking maybe it really is just something stuck there, but nothing came out/off and the swab has no discoloration, so hesitantly I'm assuming there's not much or any drainage/discharge... Here are pics after using the cotton swab, it does seem to have cleared the eye at least little though? I can see the iris more now:
(Showing her head/eye from straight on, it's the right side on this image that her funky eye is)
Sorry for all the pics, I just wanted to make sure there were plenty of angles for others to see what I mean. She seems to be opening her eye wider now, but I don't know if she can actually see through it. She doesn't seem to react to visual stimuli from that side compared to her other eye.
Any thoughts? Is there anything else I should be doing or that I can do? I'm not sure if I should continue to be concerned or just keep watching over it like I have been. I doubt she's at all big enough for a vet to be much help yet, she's not much bigger than she was 2 months ago...
