Hey there I'm new to this cham thing and the first picture is the way he looked like when he was at the store and I don't know if he's healthy or not and I've been feeding him mealworms and also been super active and he loves his basking spot and he's also super thirsty but I just want a clarification on him if he looks healthy or not and what to do since he does have black spots. thank you.

Welcome to the forum!

Mealworms are not recommended.
There are better things to feed him by far than mealworms....like crickets, BSFL, silkworms, hornworms, roaches, etc.

Don't pick at its foot....please.

Please answer the questions in the how to ask for, help thread near the top of the health forum so we can check your husbandry.

I will absolutely not pick at his foot at all, and okay I will do that right now, also is his black spot part of his pattern or not and if I should worry about it?

I depends, It could be a small burn or part of a new pattern could you describe it to us? But seeing that it’s on his foot, he would have to be a really smart Cham to be able to specifically burn that one spot, so I’m leaning more to new pattern.

@GoodKarma19 omg this one looks like kiz!!

Pretty similar, for sure! This little baby had a bot more black and translucent patches on the face. ❤

OP - definitely don't pick at the black spots. Translucent chams often develop black speckles, and that's normal coloration for them.

(I see you filled out the form on a different thread)
