Branch question

Hey everyone,

In the process of building a new cage and I grabbed a bunch of dead Pine tree or cedar branches from east Texas. I've washed them and will be baking them, but I wanted to see if these would be okay to use in a cage for a male panther chameleon as long as they are dead, cleaned, and baked.

I believe both cedar and pine are toxic to reptiles. You might want to google that.

Was looking to see if they would be okay if there were dead, but I think I'd rather steer clear if there's any chance at all of something bad happening.
