Hey I found some branches outside from an elm tree in our front yard that I want to put in my cham enclosure, but they have lichen on them. Is this going to be bad for my cham? for those that don't know what lichen is I can post some pics if need be
I would at least scrub the lichen off. Not just because of the lichen itself, but because of the other things that could be around/under it and elsewhere on the bark.
Many people bake branches to kill off bugs etc.
Others scrub and then rinse with boiling water.
