Breeders - Which Lens do you photograph With?

Ive been breeding Panthers for about 3-4 years now and im wondering what people are using to take pictures of there projects? I currently own a Canon Rebel t4i DSLR but i'm looking to step up my game and get a decent portfolio together.

Any hints or tips/ Tricks for taking pictures of your breeding males/ Females? as well as babies? Do you use the same lens or settings? What are your camera settings? What hardware are you using? lighting tricks?
I would love to see someones Photo booth that they use for pics if anyone has one made in there room!

You're only asking breeders?? Well...I'm shocked! (Just kidding!)
I don't know what the lens is....my husband did all the picture taking....sorry.
