Bug Burger

The directions say mix one part Bug Burger to no more than three parts water. These instructions are pretty vague. Can someone that uses this stuff be a little more precise with how much they make at a time and how far it goes with crickets?

DIRECTIONS: To make a one cup block of product, add ¾ cup of water into a suitable microwavable container, add ¼ cup of dry mix, and stir until blended. Microwave until it boils (2 to 3 minutes typical). Alternatively, you can heat in suitable container on stove until it boils. Then remove container, stir again, and let sit until cool. The product can then be cut into cubes, or used as a whole slab. Whatever is not used immediately can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one month. If long-term storage is required, it can be frozen. You can use more or less water to increase or reduce gel firmness.

never use the stuff but from what you have said ideally i would think you can start off with one table spoon of bug burger mixed with 3 table spoons of water. than however much you think you want for your crickets just make sure the water is as much as 3 times more. ie. 5 table spoons bug burger 15 table spoons water

Those directions are not on my container. I guess ill have to try a cup and see how long that lasts with the crickets.

I put about half a cup of powder into a bowl and poured over it a bit more than 1 cup of boiling water and mixed.

How long it lasts with crickets will depend on number of and size of crickets and whether or not you offer them anything else to eat.
