Is wood finish toxic for a cham? I’m building a cage and was wanting to put a finish on the wood and wasn’t sure if it was safe or not

Agreed, used polyurethane on mine without any problemsPolyurethane the wood. When it's dry there is nothing to worry about and is waterproof.
That’s also how I sealed mine.Agreed, used polyurethane on mine without any problems
You don't want to play it too safe with wood sealant imo. If it's not strongly waterproofed the wood will rot and warp. This happened to me and I had to toss my wood enclosure out. Polyurethane should be fine (multiple coats!) and people here also seem to strongly recommend FlexSeal.
Ok thank you all for the advice
OP wants a finish on the wood. Flexseal is NOT for that.
Totally not adding on but, clear?haha yes flexseal would be a terrible looking wood finish! had a brain fart and though OP was looking for waterproof sealant.
