Bull's Eye...............

I had a new chameleon experience yesterday. Was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I was cleaning and misting cages yesterday. I have one male Ankaramy who thinks that any time I open the cage door I might have a juicy silkworm or hornworm to offer him. Whenever I open the door he comes to the door with his mouth open and his tongue partially out ready to strike. His head will spin around as he watches my hand clean the cage. A very eager guy. So yesterday I'm cleaning a poop off the bottom of his cage and I feel him zap my eyeball with his tongue. Never had that happen before. It didn't hurt. The tongue was very soft. I thought it was pretty funny :)

That gave me a good laugh! Thanks! I have had Dizzle hit me with his tounge, but not in the eye! That is funny...well as long as you okay...which I am sure you are so I am still laughing...:D

That is the exact description of my fem veiled. Every time she sees my hand, she thinks there is something on it. I didn't get eaten by the eyeball but I got shot on the empty hand several times. She would run across from the cage to do that too. Who says chams are slow!!

Thats funny, perhaps it thought your eyelashes were some fuzz from a caterpillar or something hahaha, good stuff

I had a male parsonii that would do that. He just looked for any kind of movement associated with me and would strike. Luckily he never got my eye though. He really liked going for my thumbs too. He pulled the telephone away from my ear a couple times when I wasn't paying attention :D

Bull's Eye

Yeah, I did not even think about it at the time....I wear the disposable contacts. I'm lucky he did not pull that out of my eye because he hit right on it :)

Might be time to invest....

That's exactly what I was thinking too!! LOLOLOL Well .... at least he didn't pull your eyeball out!! LOL

I have a young male veiled that get's a little over anxious when my hand's in his cage sometimes. Only hits my hand though. I'd better remember to keep my head down when cleaning. Perhaps you should get a small ficus or something for your house and put your cham on that when you're cleaning to save your vision.

Thanks for sharing! TOO FUNNY!!

Dyesub Dave. :D

LMAO Catherine...

He just thinks your cute and was giving you a kiss, Cham stlyle!!!:D

Good story!!!

I laugh at my guy when he has multiple shots at flying moths in his enclosure, looks painful after 4 or 5 misses, he hasn't zapped me yet though!
