any tips for the cage decor and such, maybe live plants and other things to help with husbandry. its my firstpanther i have everything right i believe just want to see f anything else i need

We use umbrella plants from Lowes/Homedepot.. They are about 10 bucks and good for adult panther cages because they are tall. they also have smaller ones for smaller cages. Just make sure that you clean it really well and replant it in just plain soil with no fertilizer/perlite in it.. Also using a pothos in a hanging basket so that it can hang and grow. If you are using live plants, I suggest getting a dome with a 6500k CLF light. they are also sold at lowes/homedepot. They are good for the plants and safe for your chameleon.

the 6500 thing counts as uvb to for the cham and what about a ficus?

No, it doesn't count for UVB. You still need the reptisun 5.0 and also a basking light (I just use a dome and a 60watt housebulb) So the 6500k makes it 3 different lights. Yes ficus is fine. Also want to add that you will need to either use vine or branches all over. If you use branches from outside, make sure to clean them really well w/ a diluted bleach solution and rinse them REALLY REALLY well and let them air dry for a couple days before you use them in your cage.

whats your opinions on tube and coil lights ive seen alot of arguements

I personally have stuck with the fluorescent just b/c I know they are safe. I have seen the arguments but I don't think that the CFL pose any threat now. I think they would be safe to use. I don't know the comparison in price but I know that the domes are super cheap and easy to find... Not so much with the hoods.

tube lights cover more area in your cage where as coil does not.

that info is from previous arguments I've heard. I use tube lights in both my cages with repti-sun 5.0

good luck :D
