Calais is missing!

I can't find him anywhere! usually he is in one of a few hiding spots but I have searched my whole house and he is nowhere to be found! I have turned the lights on this morning and misted his free range so maybe he will come out for heat and water but so far nothing :( It's like he was stolen! The maintenance people know how much he is worth and have a key, but I would hope they wouldn't be so low  I have been watching my cat's heads to see if they start watching anything but it looks like they are just staring at nothing so i don't know. My dogs or my cats would never hurt him, and even if they did there would be blood. There is no sign of him anywhere and I even checked my outside porch which i have not found him luckily because it is 30 degrees out! My boyfriend said he last saw him on the dog food bowl in the kitchen so I searched the kitchen even under the oven and behind the inside of the fridge but nothing. I'm really worried :( He never does this!

I am sorry to hear this! I hope you find him :(. Give him sometime, maybe he will climb up to his branches later throughout the day

My friend Sam lost her cham too! It's been a while :/ give it time, search in the dark with a flashlight or lamp. I hope you find him :(

Don't panic! I used to free range 6 chameleons at the same time in my apartment, if they wandered one day they would always come back. Although I once had my Ambilobe go missing for two days and just by chance I looked in the downstairs entrance closet and there he was, perched on some bars in the dark closet. I think he found his way up there and then didn't know how to get back, or couldn't see how to get back since it was dark.

Look for him calmly, and check all the blinds, curtains, shower rods, curtain rods, lamps, table legs, cables, TVs, electronics plugged into the walls, etc. And he's bound to be there.

I have and I have turned all the lights on and opened the closets just in case. The only place I haven't thoroughly checked is the bedroom, he never goes in there but I am going to check anyway. Also the spare bedroom, but the thing is my house is pretty cold =( The reptile room is nice and warm, and his free range area as well, other than that it's maybe 60 degrees.

Found him! arg silly chameleon. Safe and sound, all fingers and toes in tact  He was under my portable washing machine in the wheel area, I didn't even see him when I looked under it those 100 times!

oh good i been thinking free range but theses stories terrify me.

Yeah I wouldn't free range unless they are adults because when they are so small it would be near impossible to find them since they can fit in almost any nook and kranny

yay!!! He is one of my favorite chameleons on the forum!!! I never saw this thread and I am glad I didn't until now!!
