Calcium

It depends.
What type of chameleon is it?
Male or female, young or old?
Do you use UVB lighting? Is the chameleon outdoors in natural light much?
what feeders do you use? what do you gutload with?
what Brand of Calcium with D3 supplement do you use?

I keep panthers, indoors.
I use a plain calcium (no D3) on every cricket, lightly, because crickets have a poor calcium to phosphorous ratio. I dont dust some of the other bugs I use, because they are naturally high enough in calicum.
I use herptivite about twice a month, and generally only on a single bug. I rely on good gutloading for the bulk of vitamins getting passed to the chameleon.
There is a significant different in D3 strength between brands. I use rep-cal, which is very potent. I use it only twice a month, sparingly.

calcium should be used every other day

For a baby or young panther or veiled I lightly dust with calcium without D3 everyday, calcium with D3 twice a month and herptivite twice a month. I go to every other day after they reach 6 to 7 months. I use the Rep Cal brand.
