Calumma O'shaughnessy - Canvas Chameleons

Ever since I was a little boy, chameleons always fascinated and intrigued me. I remember growing up and thinking that there was only a handful of chameleon species in the world, boy was I wrong! I still have my childhood books that I would look at for hours just dreaming. That was ultimately the motivation for me to follow my passion and start Canvas Chameleons.

Recently, I was overtaken with the same emotions when I was reading the latest National Geographic Magazine article and I saw a picture of a female Calumma O'shaughnessy in the wild and I was again hooked on a new species. So, what would any big kid go and do...

As well as his new girl friend. She only arrived last week so I have yet to determine a name and wasn't able to do an official photo session but I did snap a few.

And finally, I wanted to share a few of a guest I named Slate who was staying with us for a little but is now with his new owner.

Maybe I'll keep the name slate! When nick sent pictures I thought green lantern was appropriate! Now to find a girlfriend for slate! They look awesome!

Thanks everyone! Oshy, appears to be fairly young so hopefully he will be up to a date with with his new lady soon.

Those are some great photos! Thanks for sharing and best of luck with the species.

Please meet Oshy,

Well, I'll be damned. I just saw pictures passing by of O'shaughnessy on facebook, and now found these of yours on the forum. My eyes almost popped out, almost had to pick them up from the floor. This is a damn beautiful species!
