I placed Cami in her laying bin before I left for dinner. When I came back 2 hours later, these pictures are what I found! :D

It is 10-11 inches deep (14 in the areas where she now has a mountain). She just has her head poking out of her hole now! This is such an exciting time!

it doesn't need to be 12 inches deep. in many cases, 6 inches will suffice.

i really like that side view though. how well do you think you will be able to see her from from the side when she's actually laying? i feel like that would be awesome to watch

Yes I know this, thank you! She has well-fed crickets and fresh water waiting for her as soon as she covers them up :)

The day they invent invisible sand.. that would be amazing.

I liked the side view, as well! I can tell what she is doing without her knowing I'm watching... sneaky lol. I can see her back legs move once in awhile, and can barely see her back move here and there. Basically I see her shadow, it is quite awesome!

that shadow shot is awesome! she may just take all night some have said theirs have.

How is she doing?

She is just now finishing covering up the hole. From the time I posted this, till right now, that is how long it took her to turn her butt around, lay the eggs, and fill in the hole! She has turned a black/grey color with robin's egg blue and cream colored spots. She looks a little wobbly, odds are she's exhausted! I'm letting her finish up before I put her into her cage with her heat light, gut-loaded crickets, and fresh water. She seems to be a real natural at this! *fingers crossed*

I am very pleased to announce that Cami had 41 eggs in her first clutch. She is currently hunting down crickets as we speak :)

Reducing would be fine with me (given that 41 will hatch... not entirely sure how to tell if they are fertile). However, I want her to have one more fertile clutch in the future. She is doing fantastic, she is back to her normal self thismorning, just thinner :p0
