So i went to petco to buy a new uvb bulb for my panther and i saw some florecent aquarium lights for only four bucks.the exact model was the ocean sun 10000 k and ultra sun both by zoo med. So does any1 know if they can be used for reptiles

That is too strong but you do need uvb lighting and a basking lamp. Anything else would just be for plants and extra lighting for the enclosure. It would serve no purpose to the chameleon
I don't mean to jump in on the OP's thread, but can we use any T5 fixture and replace the bulb with a 6.5k daylight and Arcadia D3 6% bulb? Someone is selling a dual T5 HO aquarium fixture for cheap on craigslist, so I wanted to know if I'll run into any compatibility issues. Thanks
