can i feed my cham veggies and fruit?

is it ok to feed my cham fruits and veggies? ive tried before and he has his eye on it like hes gonna eat it any second and he just kinda stares at it. are fruits and veggies good for him?

veggies

hes a veiled, mainly i was thinking of stuff like lettuce, i dont know if chams can eat them but maybe oranges cuz theyre soft, so it might be easy to digest. maybe some other things to. im really not sure.

I feed my chams all kinds of veggies. It is called "Gut-loading" when you feed your crickets a good mix of veggies and other stuff the feed the crix to your cham. Most chams will refuse fruits and veggies but some will accept. I would not feed anything like that directly to a cham just to be safe. Try to find "Cricket-Crack" gut-load.

I know veiled will eat greens. I'd suggest something with lots of green as that usually suggests more nutritional value. Dandelion greens or collard greens maybe. One of the darker, leafier lettuces might be okay. I've seen enclosure with places to "clip" the leaves so they stick up.

when i used to have a big male veiled i would cut a small piece of lettuce from the middle so there was leafy parts on each side. It almost looked like a moth or bug with wings. I would open my chameleons cage. Make the "moth" flap around and flip alittle then have it land on a stick or something and he would then eat it. I think he liked it!

I can get both my adult panthers, male and female to take a slice of apple or squash once a week or so. The female more than the male. I was shocked the first time I held out a slice of apple to the male and he leaned over and just took a perfect bite out of it! You could see the perfect shape of his mouth with the tooth marks. I would hate to see what those teeth would do to your finger if he ever got it.
