Im probably just being over worried as i usually am but i wanted to make sure my chams ankle width is where its supposed to be. She gets plenty of calcium sups and has a reptisun 5.0 but i just wanted to make sure. If anyone can also age my cham. She is female and i have had her for about a month and a half

She is about 9 inches snout to tail

Her ankle width is fine ^^ do you see any localized swelling on any other joints? That would be more relative to gout. Unless she showing some other weird signs of calcium deficiency I wouldn't be worried yet as long as you are careful with supplements and are ready for possible laying? Have you tried taking her outside for some natural uvb a couple times a week. That is THE absolute best way to head off any possible issues.

I have not yet i live in chicago and the weather hasnt let me take her out there yet. Also im not particularly ready for laying. I figured it was still a few months before she would start to lay a clutch. As far as swelling i havent noticed any, nor has she had trouble walking/balancing, i just was looking through mbd pictures and gout pictures last night and freaked out a little. Thanks for the quick reply andee i know you have helped me in the past and i really appreciate it. Could you also give me a rough estimate on the age? Im thinking 4 months but im not 100% sure

Yeah I agree she looks around 4 or 5 months but I would have a lay bin or the stuff just in case you see signs. What are the ambient temps outside right now? Honestly if it's cloudy but still in like mid to low 70s you could likely take her out for like 30 or so minutes. Clouds only filter a bit of the sun, not enough that it's still not beneficial. If it's raining and cold rain. I obviously would avoid it. You technically are at the age where laying could happen, it'd be a bit early but not unheard of. Just have stuff prepared and know the signs ^^

My cham was recently diagnosed with gout. One of his legs looked a bit swollen and I took him to the vet. My vet lanced his leg to see if there was puss or any discharge and all that came out was blood so I was told he was fine. A month later his knee became very swollen and I noticed a couple other spots began to swell up a bit and I touched it and it felt harder in those spots as opposed to every where else. I took him back in and the vet drained his knee of a bunch of white substance and said he has gout. I was sort of expecting it so I wasn't surprised. My cham now has to be given meds orally everyday for the rest of his life. Just keep a close eye on it and feel it as well to see if it starts to feel hard.
