I Know that the generic answer is no true chameleons can be kept together nd yes if there viv is actually a free range room.......... but I have read that Jacksons can, if there is only 1male, but then you read that its not possible.
I cant find anything concrete from someones own experience.
Just wondering if anyone has a clear answer.

Before I get told off, I dont own jacksons and have no intention of doing so at the moment.

"One per cage" is just the safest advice to give. There have been stories here of people keeping multiple chameleons (even panthers) in large environments very successfully.

It's just a really bad idea to feed the "sure, you can keep two together" thing with someone new to chameleons. It should only be done by people with massive experience.

I think this would be a great post if some one with experience would be able to show how they housed more then one chameleon.

I have had 2 veileds for about 3 and a half years and recently got 2 ambilobe's so I have been on this forum a lot and I know the amount of people that keep panthers or veileds together is far out numbered by the people who say not to..... so common sense says not to.

The caresheets I have read dont say either way with jacksons.

hypothetically, If someone with a huge amount of experience with jacksons was to do this, what size viv would be needed. Or would you simply never do it?

once the female is gravid youre going to be looking at stress issue. theyre generally pretty mild mannered so they dont necessarily act aggressively toward one another but that dosnt mean stress isnt there. personally i think a heavily planted enclosure with all females could work out. it dosnt need to be room sized but larger than normal. then again this shouldnt be an endevor for a novice keeper and i would only do it if i had a back up cage(s) to separate them if need be.

simple answer is no dont do it :p
