Can't get my juvenile veil to eat any fruits or veggies.

I have a juvenile veiled chameleon, male, his names Diego. I currently feed him between 6 and 12 crickets a day depending on size. I also give him a few horn worms and he gobbles them up. I know he needs more and I always offer a dish of various fruits and veggies also dried fruit flys and canned grasshoppers but he never touches I urging in the bowl. I thought, maybe it's because there isn't anything alive in there so started taking a few crickets and removing there legs to keep the dish moving. He just picks them out. Is this a phase? Will he be ok if he never eats fruits and veggies?

He is on that high protein bug diet since he is still a young chamy, maybe he will start eatting some vegetables n fruit once he get older n sick of eating bugs...in the meantime, gutload ur feeder so at least he can have some V8 juice from the bug that he eats.

You shouldn't be feeding him dead insects.
To get him started on greens, fruits and veggies, when his mouth is opening and shutting when he's eating stick a thin slice of apple between his teeth so he can taste it. This often gets them started. Make sure whatever you offer him is provided in a size/way he can eat it.
