Things are not lookiing good. She has been digging for a clutch of infertiles for over a week, and had not laid. Yesterday evening her eyes sunk in and her gums turned white, she is very weak. I just talked to the Vet and X-rays indicate possible follicular stasis. She is on fluids and I am leaving it in my Vets hands. I think we have a 90% chance of losing her at this point.
Carla is special to me as she is the Mom of the 69 babies and my 3rd Chameleon.
The Vet just called-she didn't make it. She had been treated in the past few months for an infected toenail, and that combined with the eggs I think just caused alot of stress for the poor girl. My Vet had her on fluids and went back to check on her and she was already gone.
Rachelk-she was the Mom to your guy, and Alhickabees and Kent's in this thread among others-so her legacy lives on.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes-it sure is hard to lose them.
I know how it feels I lost my first one at a year old.
