Very beautiful! love the green colors! she is very pretty for a female. i didnt know carpet females showed so much color.

the females actually show more color then the males and as kent hinted to they really show 'em when they are gravid- and a very different pattern it is too

Those Carpets are beautiful little chams! I love how the females get great vibrant colors like thier partners for a change!Thank you for sharing.
I may have one in my future If I can recoop the $1200 I just spent in photography equipt....

In that case, I'd have to say I hope you do get a hold of one 'cause those are some pricey pics I'd look forward to seeing.
joeandsoph - she certainly is, though with carpets they are also shy so I would think you'd be hard pressed to find a mean one, that was the third time I've ever handled her since I got her in January and even though I had to work my way through the thick foliage in her cage and then back through the thick of it with her in hand she more or less just looked like "interesting... where we goin?" and getting her to leave the sunny bush outside was an even funnier task

at the most maybe another half inch but I doubt even that. she's actually not shy at all, I've heard people say they rarely if ever see their carpet chams eat or drink but she'll even hand feed and hunts all around her cage.
off topic, but I also think one of the funniest things (if you have your chams in your room or a living area you are usually in) is when you can hear the sweet thwap.. crunch crunch crunch while your'e preoccupied with something else, puts a smile on your face haha

Great looking carpet chan I have a male that you can see in my avator or some other pics I have posted. I love mine he is very shy and I've only seen him eat twice. But they have amazing colors and are very interesting to observe. I'm going to get a female one of these days to mate them and have some gorgeous babies

Great looking gal you have there. My girl ("The Bean") is just 5 months old as of March 30, and this morning was the first time I have seen her be anything but straight up green. Today she showed some black spots across her body and strong black lines on her cheeks. Your photos are a nice preview of what I expect we will be seeing in the next few weeks.
Our male (Frank) is much more interesting to look at - really vibrant - but I know that he won't be able to hold a candle to her once she becomes gravid.
Did she light up once you took her out in the sun? Maybe that's what I need to do is get her out in the sunshine now that is has warmed up a bit here in NOVA.

the more I look at carpets the more they sound nice to have.
maybe in a year for me as I'm still learning the basics for my panther.
