Carpet Chameleons

Hi everyone,
It's smilespop1207. Ever since a year ago, I wanted to have a carpet chameleon. The only problems I had(and still have) are:
1. Finding a reputable breeder that sells captive bred carpet chameleons
2. Getting my mom to allow me to get a chameleon(she doesn't like the whole live insect diet idea)

If anyone knows any good websites or stores on Long Island, New York, it would be greatly appreciated.

Dooley is a private breeder on here - you can PM him, but he's one of the best known on the forum for breeding carpets. Also, Camalot Chameleons in Orlando breeds them, I think. As for the live prey, well, there's no getting around that. The best thing would be to come up with a plan/diagram of how you will be keeping the feeders so that your mom feels more comfortable with the situation. Good luck!

Yeh shoot Dooley a PM. I got my carpet from him, my first cham, and hes doin great. Growing fast and for a carpet showing nice colors. And not much you can do about the live insect thing. Just dont tell her lol
