Caught some Dragon Flys

nice! i just caught one last night and fed it to my panther. it was gorgeous too, purple and lime green. it's eyes looked like holograms.

Those are beautiful! I have never seen those before, and you live pretty close to MN, so I'd assume they'd at least be up here, but I've never seen neon green. I can't feed dragonflies to my chameleons anyway, dragonflies mainly eat mosquitoes (the Minnesota state bird), and they consume TONS each day (gnats too), so I would have an angry mob after me if I started catching them.

Our giant koi pond in the back yard attracts a lot of dragons. One was
6 inches long. It scared me....I've never seen such a big insect in Ohio...it was neon green like that with blue eyes....ugh creepster. But most of them at the pond are baby blue. We give all of them the nickname bob, bob 1-12 haha.

They can be found all over WI, wherever there is water. I am considering catching a few to "treat" my cham once I get him. I hope they are tasty.

Well there are plenty around and bigger and faster ones that love to eat the pesty bugs. You are right though you don't want to catch all of them. The frogs got to eat too.
