Crested gecko diet is specifically made for the vitamin and calcium needs of crested geckos, which are far lower than chameleons. Also I personally only use crested gecko diet maybe twice a week and only if I've run out of my homemade gecko diet when I have crested geckos. If you read the ingredients over half of the ones that make up the majority of the diet aren't very natural. It's a good diet for beginners who are just learning how to keep crested geckos, but in my honest opinion it is the farthest thing from their natural diet you could feed an animal. Most of the geckos I feed that will take a preprepared food like day geckos and cresteds, etc. Will more readily take the homemade stuff I prepare.
I used it as a source of water for my dubias once...
They had pallets and powder as gut load food which are both dry.
I don't buy them anymore because fruits and veggies that otherwise end up in the bin is better and cheaper.
