Cham ate wild anole

Hello, I have a male panther cham, about 8 months old, and I had him outside today. I looked away for two seconds, and when I looked back he had a baby anole in his mouth. I tried getting it out but he swallowed it before I could. What should I do?? Please help, if he's in danger I want to get him the proper treatment.

Some of the larger chameleons eat other lizards. I would make sure he doesn't eat anymore. That kind of protein isn't the best for them.
I would make an effort to hydrate him and have him checked for parasites in a few weeks especially if there is any change in his feces or urates.

I personally believe smaller lizards make up a natural part of the diet in the wild, especially for the larger species. Not a large part but a normal portion none the less.
I think anything that they come across small enough for them to swallow becomes part of their diet. Im sure large chameleons like parsons, mellers, and oustalets will eat bird hatchlings if they come across them.

I absolutely agree. Which is why I don't encourage it but I definitely don't try to stop them from taking meals like that. I think it's great enrichment for them to hunt and eat something different for a change.
